The 4K and virtual reality based game console war between Microsoft and Sony has left many non-console players in the game industry in a paradox. Is this the right time to buy my first game console now or to wait and buy the next gen console. Yes, this generations of research and advancements has rapidly pushed the consumers mindset and stereotyped them into believing that whatever comes in future will definitely be the best answer to their today's problems. To a certain extent that is true, and this truth comes at a cost, a heavy heavy cost. But this blog is not about introspecting how the game industry future consoles will be the best and how the game industry will change overnight in just one hardware release. This blog is for all those nerd die hard gamer's (or college time gamer's) who always boasted there sharp reflexes on age old keyboards and have somehow just stories to tell all around but no consoles. Its bitter truth but still the truth. So what to do now.
If you have been of this type and still waiting for the next best console to happen, come on, take it easy. I would highly recommend that this is and will be the best time of for any first time console buyer to buy his/her first game console. Yes, it might not have par human intelligence AI (like Google, Apple Siri, Microsoft Cortana, etc.) and may also not have 4K or virtual reality ready machines. But do you really care that much...I do not think so. You just care to reload and shoot all those gangsters or demons or soldiers on this war zone or road side killer game and really want to enjoy those dream moments of victory and feel those hard wired reflexes in you still gain, this time with more zeal and enthusiasm.
